The last frontier, is truly something to see. I went solo for my birthday. I wanted the adventure and quiet time with God and nature and it was a great choice! It’s scenery is that of a Bob Ross landscape painting, just divine. Land of mountains, lakes & rivers, trails, greenery for days, rainbows galore, its just a peaceful place. Renting a car is a must to really enjoy the nature and explore on your own. I didn’t have any other option as I went during the end of the summer season in late September so there weren’t any tours or tourist for that matter. NOTE: Mid May-Mid September is open season.
