Florence is Italy’s version of NYC in my opinion. The city is full of rich art and architecture, my trip was short so I missed quite a bit. If you’re into art there are almost 80 museums! Go inside the following: Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Gallery, Bargello Museum, Palazzo Vecchio, Palatina Gallery and Modern Art Gallery, and Boboli Gardens and Silver Museum. Walk across the historic Ponte Vecchio bridge (it’s a bridge over the Arno River), don’t forget to visit the cute shops on the bridge. And go to church, the main church in Florence, the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore also known as Il Duomo di Firenze, it’s huge you can’t miss it!
Stay: Borghese Palace Art Hotel, it has a mini museum in the downstairs lobby! It’s in the heart of Florence just blocks away from Il Duomo di Firenze and not far from Arno River. The room was modern art-deco with cool art. I highly recommend this swank boutique hotel.
