Look around you. Turn on any news program, look at the internet. Your Facebook feed, then twitter and even Instagram. What do you see? More negative than positive? Do you perpetuate negativity, to you share unrighteousness? Are you passive? What you see, are you happy or pleased with it? What’s your dream? Do you have one?
What happened to the time of unity and togetherness? What happened to teaching the younger generation how to lead? What in the world happened to the baby boomers? Where is the disconnect? Perhaps it’s me but I believe the disconnect happened when the vision of the “American Dream” became a reachable reality. The ceiling capped dream instilled in you to pursue someone else’s dream has left the rich richer and the poor poorer. The fake dream puts millions of people on the road, the preverbal hamster wheel. You hop on it and you just keep spinning and spinning in circles. That raise, it’s just and bigger wheel and now you have to work harder to complete one circle. On that road you have your kids involved in every activity under the moon, fees for this and that. They are so involved your more like public transportation taking them to and fro. Moving like machines on the road. I ask are you really paying attention? Really spending time getting to know the future, your children. Are you teaching and passing the torch? Are you too busy pursuing an “American Dream” that looks bleak everyday? Are you buying into the government with it’s “we have your best interest in mind” mentality? Do you follow trends or are you a trendsetter? Do you take the time to research truth? Or do you believe everything you hear and see? Have a backbone. Create a standard. Discover truth. Live in truth. Know God. Let the church say…AMEN.

Tip: Take time out and think. Try mediating in the morning and night. Don’t be so quick to react to life. Think about what you do and the affect that it can have on you and the people around you. Do Better.
