You’d never know my life in 2015 looking on the outside. I traveled to New York, Los Angeles, Ohio four times, Philly, Delaware, Bahamas and Cabo San Lucas. I became a self-made travel writer, investing in myself for content. I created a show concept as a result. It took six months to edit a reel to pitch.
My website went live in June, it took an entire year from concept to launch. Two web designers and long hours to see my vision come to fruition. I paint but haven’t sold a painting. I wrote two books.
If anyone knows me, I’m a gym junk but had to put my gym membership on hold. I haven’t been since the summer. It’s painful. I ran 338-miles, my only real option to exercise.
I made less than $5,000. Bills, you already know. I slept between an air mattress at my Mom’s and my sisters couch. I have a curfew. I’ve been locked out four times, slept in my car three. I haven’t worked an full time job in a year. I only had two interviews, they were the end of 2015. I have been rejected time after time. I write but haven’t been paid a dime for it. The only steady job I was able to land so far is a cleaning job.
All of that and I’m still happy. Life uncomfortable, extremely challenging and not what was promised, right now. My faith tested, my patience tried, my hope low at times. But I’ve meet some awesome people and continue to learn and grow each day. I have had help where I would not have expected it to come from. I am eternally grateful for this time in my life. I am enjoying the things money can’t buy. I’m allowing my passions to lead me. I love what I’m doing and eventually I’ll get paid for it. But YOU’D NEVER KNOW…
I’m excited about the future. 2016 will be a breakout year for me. I am truly walking in my purpose. THANK YOU for your support and encouragement. I have created a vision board, an excellent way to visually see your goals. See photo.
