To be aware is to be present. To be present in the moment. To be conscious, to be consciously aware of what is going on around us. To pay attention. To pay attention to the people we interact with. There are no coincidences. Everything happens for reason. To catch what you need to take from a particular person or situation you must be aware.
God speaks through people and situations. Quite often we miss things because we are not consciously aware. We go through the motions of life as if we’re promised tomorrow. Like each new day is meaningless, like we have no purpose or dreams. We sit in front of our televisions to “escape”. Escape from what? The reality of the choices we made for our lives? Most of which stem from fear. We waste so much precious grace-given time on meaningless things. But if we could just be AWARE we’d find MEANING, instead of being aware-less we’d operate in AWARENESS bringing us closer to our dreams and purpose. Meaning in the life we so often take for granted. Be AWARE.
Quote: “Let us not look back in anger nor forward in fear, but around in awareness”. –James Thurber
Tip: Take moments throughout the day to reflect. Was there a lesson to be learned from a conversation? How did that situation move me? How can I do better? What can I do for someone else? Don’t go through the motions each day, find meaning.
