generosity.

Give and it shall be given, but honestly it feels so good to give! We’re here to help each other. To give of our money, time and love especially to those who are in need. I live a very blessed life and I’m eternally grateful. However, there are those that can’t afford the basic necessities. Join me in supporting these organizations in some way. They are making a difference around the world, they warm my heart and make me smile…perhaps you’ll find a way to help them too!

800 million people across the globe live without clean and safe drinking water. Think about it. I drink 1/2 gallon or more each day. I flush even more than that as it goes right through me, LOL. Seriously, imagine not having access to water, clean water. On top of that diseases from unclean water kills more people than any other form of violence, including war. And it affects children the most. charity: water, a non-profit organization uses 100% public donations to directly fund sustainable water solutions in areas of greatest need. I found out about charity: water via a co-worker and this type of organization is so needed, please help.

The Show Me Campaign organization logo

the show me campaign.

Founded by one of my favs, Academy Award winning, multi-GRAMMY® Award recording star John Legend as a way to put an end to poverty by way of education. More than 16 million children live in poverty in the U.S. and 1.2 billion in extreme poverty on a global scale. Poverty is usually passed down from generation to generation, a good education is the best tool to break the cycle. In the United States, the Show Me Campaign works to give every child access to a quality education through the promotion of scalable, proven solutions and programs. In Africa, Show Me has supported holistic development projects in the past and currently sponsors secondary school scholarships for girls. Join in the fight to end poverty & help educate our youth.

I love to shop! What better way to shop than buying something for yourself and knowing that your giving something (usually a pair of shoes) to the needy! The company’s One for One concept is the most genius idea EVER! Not to mention I love their basic shoes, super comfortable and travel ready. I’ve had the pleasure of both meeting the founder, Blake Mycoskie and reading his book Start Something That Matters (the book changed my life)! This guy has a heart of gold and is truly sent from heaven. On top of his uncanny generosity he’s teamed up with other companies that also give. I mean…please buy something from these folks!
